WHAT IS SAFE ZONE TRAINING?
SafeZone training is a virtual three-hour LGBTQ+ 101 training program. It is an opportunity to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. The workshop will also give you a better awareness and understanding of the LGBTQ+community, and how you can be an effective ally.
WHY SAFE ZONE TRAINING?
LGBTQ + people who face discrimination in the workplace have difficulty concentrating and may end up leaving their jobs. Sensitivity training benefits both businesses and their employees, fostering stronger relationships within the workplace. Research has repeatedly demonstrated a positive relationship between LGBTQ+ supportive workplaces and employee health, commitment, job satisfaction, and productivity. LGBTQ+ inclusive policies demonstrate a commitment to employees and are likely to attract socially conscious consumers.
