Special events energize and unite, build support, and togetherness. Our committee’s focus will be on fundraising events and fun social activities for all ages. We want to create an accepting and enjoyable environment for all attendees, increase awareness of LGBTQ+ Lorain County, and contribute to our local community.

This committee supports the LGBTQ+ Lorain County Mission to make Lorain County a safe and inclusive place for LGBTQ+ community members to work, play, and live. 

Committee Involvement

We can't do this without you! Events take a lot of planning and hands-on work to run smoothly. The more people involved at the planning stage, the greater opportunity we’ll have to create an exceptional experience and make sure we’ve thought through all of the details. More hands are always welcome for set-up/tear-down (if necessary) too. 

The committee will meet once per month on the third Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 pm. The meetings will be held via zoom, but we will also have planned volunteer socials.

No experience, age, or skill level required, just a willingness to pitch in and bring ideas to the table.
