Pride in Action Lorain County is a volunteer-driven group dedicated to supporting and uplifting the local LGBTQ+ community through outreach, events, and resources. Open to all, we welcome anyone who wants to make a positive impact—whether you're passionate about organizing programs, providing support, or raising awareness.
At this meeting, attendees will hear how to get involved in strengthening LGBTQ+ presence in Lorain County through community engagement and special events. We'll also provide an annual summary of everything that we accomplished in 2025 and hope to brainstorm with the group new ideas for programming and initiatives in 2026. With an ad hoc meeting structure, we provide flexible opportunities for involvement at any level.

Save the date! Lorain County Pride 2026 will take place on June 27, 2026 from 12-4pm in Oberlin. Our Pre-Pride Drag Show will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Oberlin ‘Sco.

We are so thankful to everyone who helped us put on an amazing Pride celebration in Lorain County. It was our biggest Pride ever, and we could not have done it without the help of so many people, including all those who showed up to enjoy the events.
Thank you to our board members, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, partners, performers, and attendees. It was truly so heartwarming to see all of us come together to share in some queer comradery under the June sun.
We'd like to extend a special thank you to Oberlin College and their Office of Gender, Sexuality, & Attraction Initiatives for providing a wonderful space for both the drag show and Pride festival, the Lake Erie Crushers for hosting Pride Night at the baseball stadium, Community Foundation of Lorain County for hosting our SafeZone training, and to all of our amazing drag kings and queens who truly slayed with out of this world performances - The Twisted Transitioner, Chelsea Enchantress, Riley Poppyseed, Karma Couture, Oliver Pickles, Frieda VonFreakum!, Dusty Bucket, and lavendger GoodNight. LGBTQ+ people don't just exist in large cities - we are everywhere. Our organization will continue working to provide resources, connection, and a sense of community for queer people living, working, and thriving in Lorain county and our neighboring areas.
